For as long as anybody can remember, there have been four tribes of dragons- Plains Tribe of the grasslands, Desert Tribe of the barren wastes, Ocean Tribe of sea and coast and Forest Tribe of the woodlands. They are proud, strong in their separate ways, ready to defend their territory with their lives.
And what happens when these lives are lost?
They become Spirits, able to conjure illusions and see the possible futures, seen only by few gifted dragons and always standing behind the living...

Aging « Result #1 on Jan 5, 2008, 6:44pm »
Dragons have an interesting aging progression- they age very quickly at first, reaching adulthood at a year. Then the aging slows down drastically, and a dragon does not reach an elderly age til about 45. Most dragons do not live past 50- those past 55 years are exceedingly rare.

^__^ Yay, thankies! I've got five sites I'm on now, not including this one, one of which is dead (until school ends, preferably), one you have to affiliate with, one free-form, and another with a bothersome form. The other which there isn't relly a place for advertising and I don't feel like trying to again. BLEH. So I've advertised on two sites and that's as much as I can do. Well.....I can put it in signatures, I guess, so people can clicky it. Okay, good ^^

For any of you who have sites where you can free-form the advertisement, I came up with a little intro (including a part of what Lyra's already done) It's just to help make it interesting and catch people's attention on your advertisement post, so I thought I should share it. Here it is:
For as long as anybody can remember, there have been four tribes of dragons - Plains Tribe of the grasslands, Desert Tribe of the barren wastes, Ocean Tribe of sea and coast and Forest Tribe of the woodlands. They are proud, strong in their separate ways, and ready to defend their territory with their lives. And what happens when these lives are lost? They become Spirits, able to conjure illusions and see the possible futures, seen only by a few gifted dragons and always standing behind the living...
Enter a world where four tribes of dragons live, who live, fight, heal, make an impression upon someone, and then die (and wander the Earth as spirirts if they so choose). Some will welcome you, others will try to tear you apart....can you look at all of them, not flinch, and stay strong in the midst of friends and foes alike? Then this is the place for you, where life, even when young, can be a survival test, as grudges against one tribe makes another plot against it, while a disease sweeps through another tribe and the last tribe tries to help soothe all the clan's tempers, even their own, while despair, bullying and mental illness could be wreaking havoc on that last tribe's members. Often there is peace, when the sun shines, territory patrols are boring, and the clans are mostly allies. When their younglings, elders and leaders do not have to worry too much about any other clan, or face the possibility of their life ending some time soon. But when something wrong happens, and that peace is shattered, whether it be grudge, misfortune or just plain cruelty, all hell can break loose, and a war between two or all the tribes could start anyime soon....
At the moment, it's not quite accurate, but things like this can always happen on here.

The Land of Han'sh « Result #6 on Dec 30, 2007, 1:07pm »
(This is my luv. The original owner/creator was Kiwi, but she had to leave and I eventually became lead admin. It needs members significantly. A small audition is required, but there are plenty of open positions. Also, you can be whatever you please- dragon, human, elf, cat, etc. and there is no character limit. So PLEASE join! If you do, you get a pint of fluff.)
Before there was the world, there was silence, consuming darkness. And in the darkness there was one shape, curled and dreaming in silence. Alone he imagined a world, creating a universe in his mind. In the silence, he created a name for himself, and a name for the world. He was Shivlam, and the land he ruled was Han’sh. He spoke the words and matter spiraled out of his imagination, creating itself, a world spanning in his sight, the sun rising in his shining eyes. And in the moments he stepped on the earth, all was formed. And with this, two Goddesses rose from nothingness- Life and Death, Mrin and Alariis. They were opposites, each given lands to rule, named Ondsted and Dourada, and they were in harmony, as was the rest of the world. But then there came darkness- Shivlam’s High Priestess had had a child- his child. The boy was named Hieral, and he had inherited part of the power of Shivlam. The two Goddesses began to fight over him, trying to win his favour, which culminated in war. Shivlam was furious at this and cast all three to the earth, Mrin, Alariis and the boy, erasing their memories and leaving them with nothing but their names. But after several years in dark silence, the Goddesses returned to their homes in the heavenly land of Altjid and the feud began again, though it was not sparked by Hieral at the time- it was ignited by pure hatred. The battle that ensued was known as The Battle of the Wyrms, named for the ghastly white worm-creatures that spilled from the ground and infested the minds of the followers of Life. During this battle, Alariis also transformed into the Faeronar, a great dragon-like being that took over her soul and wouldn’t leave til months after the disastrous battle, upon finding and falling in love with the Endlord Raivin she had found locked within the depths of her temple. Meanwhile, Mrin was in a comatose state, having been badly wounded. She did remember Hieral now, and spies under Alariis’ command brought back information to her, which awakened old memories within her. And now, after months of careful planning and tracking, Hieral had been found in the Forests of Light. Life had established a camp there while they look for him and Death has followed, launching an attack, determined not to let Mrin take possession of the boy. So battle ensued: The Battle Of The Doves and Deer, for strange creatures lurked in the shadows- doves and deer until their time came and they attacked and tried to steal the boy away. They were the Velkyrin and the Black Doves, creatures controlled by a lone necromancer. But then a host of ice harpies, returning from mating season with the dragons in the west and hoping to feast on the carnage of battle. But the essence of All, their patronized god, reached their nostrils and they rescued Hieral, flying him away to the frozen island of Ljs Bedekte for all three deities to pursue...

Tribe Characteristics. « Result #7 on Dec 30, 2007, 1:00pm »
Each Tribe has members that generally have the same characteristics, mostly because they need them to survive. Not all dragons are like this though- there are oddballs and mutations, so don't let these limit your creativity. Also, a lot of these characteristics can be achieved through magic, though the process can be quite painful.
Plains Tribe -Wide wings -Sharp eyes
Desert Tribe -Wide feet -Drab in colour
Ocean Tribe -Gills -Wings that are not made for flying , rather, swimming, with a more freely-moving joint

Spirit Cave « Result #9 on Dec 30, 2007, 1:44am »
Spirit Cave is most often used for Ordeals, of course, and to bring new Goldenwings into their position. However, it is also used as a place where dragons come when they seek guidance. This dragon may simply lie down and sleep and a dream will come. Often, these dreams do not contain Spirits, but metaphoric visions sent by them. When mourning, a dragon may sometimes meet their lost friend, but often they must be content with the living.
